Clinic Information
Healthy students really do learn better. Our goal is to maintain a safe and healthy environment while your student is on campus. We will administer medications prescribed to your student during school hours upon receipt of the doctor’s orders. The clinic forms must be filled out in the clinic prior to leaving the medication. Students are not allowed to bring the medication to the clinic.
Florida Statue s. 1002.20(3)(d)(2)(p) was signed into law July 1, 2023 which allows “a student to possess and use a medication to relieve headaches while on school property without a physician’s note if the medication is regulated by the United States Food and Drug Administration for over-the-counter use to treat headaches”. We highly encourage parents to bring in to the clinic headache medications and sign them in to be used as the student needs. All medicines are to be picked up at the end of the school year even if the student will continue the medication the next school year.
Students must have a pass to go to the clinic for medication administration and other needs.
