A student may possess a cell phone or other electronic device on school property, at after school activities, and at school-related functions, provided that during school hours and on a school bus, the item remains off and is concealed. Possession of an electronic device by a student is a privilege. Violations of this policy will result in confiscation of the item and/or other disciplinary actions. The parent/guardian will need to make arrangements to pick up the device from the school. At no time shall Orange County Public Schools be responsible for theft, loss or damage to cell phones or other electronic devices brought onto its property.
